Something Simple Even YOU Can Do
This weekend three of us headed down to Atlanta First United Methodist Church in downtown Atlanta to volunteer with the Midtown Assistance Center or MAC for short. MAC services low income individuals in the community and is sponsored by many of the downtown churches.
MAC offers a food pantry and clothes closet as well as other services to assist these individuals.

Lady Gamecock Volleyball
This weekend some really amazing things occurred for the “Hen House!”
The Lady Gamecock Volleyball team travelled to Tallahassee to play in the NCAA Tournament.
For those of you who only focus on the football team or the Marching Southerners—let me catch you up to speed. This year is their THIRD appearance in the tournament and their FOURTH OVC Championship in five years!

South Atlanta JSU Alumni
Last night I had the privilege of being apart of the first meeting of the South Atlanta JSU Alumni. I have lived in south Atlanta 11 years (ok, THIS time, I’ve only lived here 6 other times before in my life—army brat, you understand).
